Seafarer Well-being

In partnership with Seafarers International House, NYC, the Albany Maritime Ministry is an all-volunteer, ecumenical group meeting the spiritual, personal and practical needs of mariners arriving in and around the Port of Albany.  Founded in 1995 by a committed group of volunteers, it addresses seafarers’ spiritual, family, and material needs; advocates for seafarers’ rights; welcomes seafarers aboard their ship when they cannot come ashore; collaborates with related agencies worldwide; and offers special programs and services, such as Christmas at Sea.
