TRAFFIC/CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY May 3-6, 2024

(April 29, 2024) The next phase of the Port of Albany Maritime Infrastructure Investment Project is set to begin next week with the replacement of rail tracks across Church Street (near the intersection with Boat Street) at the northern entrance to the Port.  

Church Street will be closed for construction from Friday, May 3 through Monday, May 6. The northern entrance to the Port of Albany will be closed to ALL traffic.

Traffic will be required to use the Port’s southern entrance at S. Port Rd. Truck traffic traveling from Rt 787 and Rt 87 will need to use Rt 9W to Rt 32 to enter AND exit the Port.

Regular access to the Port through the northern/Church Street entrance is expected to resume on Tuesday. May 7.
