Port Industry Day at the Port of Albany

(September 19, 2024) Port Industry Day is an opportunity for attendees to learn more about what is happening in the global maritime industry, to meet Port tenants and partners, to see displays and demonstrations, and to get an up-close look at Port operations. 

The day-long program will feature internationally renowned port and transportation leaders and speakers including: Paul Anderson, President/CEO | Port Tampa Bay and Chair | American Association of Port Authorities; CAPT Doreen McCarthy, Deputy Sector Commander | U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York; Richard Hendrick, CEO | Port of Albany; James M. Brown, 7/8  STEM Teacher, KidWind Advisor, On-site Energy Manager | South Colonie Central Schools; Thomas Conoscenti, Assistant Secretary for Economic Development | New York State Executive Chamber; Stephanie Dominquez, Assistant Director, Commercial Development | Port Authority of NYNJ; Raed EL-Farhan, Vice President | Weston & Sampson; Paul Kent, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Ports and Logistics Practice | Monument Economics Group; Nicol Polidoro, Manager, Multi-Modal Logistics | Port Authority of NYNJ; and Annie White, Director of Real Estate + Economic Development | Karp Strategies.

The Expo Space will include Port tenants (Ardent Mills, Callanan Construction); small business partners (Pursuit, Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce); maritime partners (US Coast Guard, Logistec Stevedoring, Albany Maritime Ministries); neighbors (Global Partners, the City of Albany); engineering firms related to Beacon Island expansion (McFarland Johnson, LaBella); education and workforce partners (Capital Region BOCES, Historic Cherry Hill, USS Slater, and KidWind [Sand Creek Middle School in South Colonie Wind project competition]).
