Port of Albany partners to present Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Supply Chain Symposium

in Celebration of World Trade Week NYC 2024

(May 15, 2024) The Port of Albany, Capital Region Foreign Trade Zone #121, Capital District Regional Planning Commission, and CEG have partnered to present “Managing Risk and Cost in the Global Supply Chain: How Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) can help” on Monday, May 20 at 1 pm (doors open for lunch and networking at 12:30pm) in the Port of Albany’s Maritime Terminal.

This afternoon of presentations will focus on how companies involved in manufacturing and distribution can understand post-pandemic supply chain issues, learn proven options for reducing risk and spend in the global supply chain, how to implement/operate Foreign Trade Zones, and more.

Featured speaker Thomas Cook is the managing director of Blue Tiger International and is a global trade and compliance expert and author who has helped businesses manage their import and export operations for more than 35 years.

The symposium is free to attend; registration is required. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry experts, speakers, and panelists during the included breaks and lunch. In addition, attendees will be able to join a pre-symposium tour of the Port of Albany’s Maritime Terminal and Offshore Wind Supply Chain Manufacturing Expansion Project.
