Port of Albany to conduct annual Security Drill

WHAT:
The Albany Port District Commission and state/local first responders will be conducting its annual U.S. Coast Guard mandated, multi-agency, full-scale drill.

Operation Coms Incident is being held at Port of Albany offices and will be a tabletop exercise only. No assets will be deployed during this four-hour exercise, designed to test the communication capabilities between multiple emergency response agencies.

WHO:
Participants include: Albany Port District Commission Security and Maintenance, US Coast Guard, local law enforcement and fire departments, U.S. Customs & Border Patrol, Terminal Operator Logistec, NYS Police Drone Unit, Albany County Emergency Management, Dept of Homeland Security, DEC, Regional Hazmat Team, and Rensselaer Emergency Management.
